ANTE UP 21 RULES OF PLAY
ANTE UP 21:
Players first put up two bets: A bet in the spot for the blackjack
hand ("21") and a bet in the spot for the poker hand ("ANTE").
Minimum bet required.
- Players may play only blackjack if desired
- Players must play both spots (21 and ANTE) in order to play the poker hand
- The "ANTE" bet may not exceed the "21" bet
- The "21" bet may be greater than the "ANTE" bet
DEAL:
Each player is dealt two cards. The dealer is also dealt two
cards, one facing up. The player may choose to play poker
based on their first two dealt cards.
BET POKER:
If the player chooses to play poker, a second bet is placed in
the "BET" area. All players have the option to bet their poker
hand before the dealer checks their hand for a natural blackjack.
- The bet must be the same amount as the "ANTE"
- Choosing not to play poker forfeits the "ANTE" bet
PLAY 21:
After betting, the player goes on to play blackjack. Busted hands will
still be in play if the player made the poker bet.
PLAY POKER:
After all hands are over, including the dealer's, the dealer then
compares his blackjack hand and his best two-card poker hand to that of each player.
- The dealer must qualify with a Queen high or better
- If the dealer does not qualify, the player will win even money on the "ANTE" and push on the "BET"
- A pair beats a non-pair, and Aces are always high
- Ace-King is the highest non-pair hand and 2-3 is the lowest
- All tied hands will be a push on both poker bets
- Dealer must hit "soft" 17
- On split hands, when playing the poker portion of the game, the player may only use the first two cards dealt as their final poker hand
- With a dealer's natural blackjack, the player will win, lose, or tie the "ANTE" and receive a push on the "BET"
- If all players bust their blackjack hand but have made a poker bet, the dealer will complete his blackjack hand and then compare his poker hand to that of each player
